The Lebanese Transparency Association (LTA) implements activities geared toward the private sector, including:

  • Organizing awareness conferences to introduce and receive feedback on the draft laws from private sector stakeholders;
  • Generating written commitments from private-sector leaders, opinion-makers, and heads of business associations to support the Network as it prepares to lobby for the passage of the draft laws.

The first awareness conference was held on May 26, 2009, at the Phoenicia Intercontinental Hotel, in collaboration with Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE), the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the American Bar Association (ABA), Lebanon Corporate Goverance Task Force (LCGTF), and the Network. The presentations given at the conference are below.
